About The Sandpiper

The 50 spacious Garden Rooms and One and Two Bedroom Suites are located in beautiful tropical gardens leading to the beach. Each has air conditioning, a CD player, fridge and comfortable terrace or balcony overlooking the gardens, pool or ocean. The suites have a kitchenette and separate sitting room with sofa bed. The Whimbrel and Sanderling Tree Top Suites are particularly stylish with a four poster bed, sitting room, dressing room, magnificent bathroom and a wraparound terrace with private plunge pool. The Sandpiper’s stunning Beach House is a spacious three-bedroom villa located directly on the beach - the two ground floor Oceanfront Suites and the gorgeous Curlew Tree Top Suite on the upper floor can each be reserved independently, or in its entirety. The Beach House is perfect for families or small groups.

Sister hotel to Coral Reef Club and a member of small luxury hotels of the world, this family-run hotel has a wonderfully friendly atmosphere and is managed by Karen and Wayne Capaldi, part of the O’Hara family. Set within seven acres of tropical gardens, this beautiful property boasts excellent facilities and fine attention to detail. But you could be forgiven for simply coming here to eat, as The Sandpiper is renowned for its cuisine and has an award-winning restaurant beside the romantic torch-lit pool.

The new kid on the block, Joali has exploded on the Maldivian hotel scene by doing things quietly, simply and well. Immerse yourself in this island paradise and rediscover your Joi de Vivre.

Best to time to travel

Barbados, a captivating Caribbean island known for its stunning beaches, vibrant culture, and warm hospitality, offers a fantastic getaway throughout the year.
High Season (December to April): Barbados' high season coincides with the dry season, making it the most popular time to visit. From December to April, the weather is sunny and pleasant, and the sea is calm—ideal for swimming and water sports. It's also the season for cultural festivals, including the Barbados Jazz Festival and the Holetown Festival.

Shoulder Seasons (May to June, September to November): The shoulder seasons offer pleasant weather and fewer crowds. May and June are particularly lovely, with warm temperatures and lush landscapes. September to November marks the official hurricane season, but Barbados is rarely affected, making it a quieter and more budget-friendly time to visit.

Low Season (July to August): July and August are Barbados' low season due to higher humidity and the possibility of occasional rain showers. However, this period still offers plenty of sunshine and is a great time for budget-conscious travelers.

No matter when you visit Barbados, you'll discover a world of natural beauty, from the powdery white-sand beaches of the west coast to the rugged cliffs of the east coast. Dive into vibrant coral reefs, explore historic plantation houses, and savor the flavors of Bajan cuisine. Whether you seek relaxation, adventure, or cultural immersion, Barbados promises an unforgettable Caribbean escape.
